We visited two places in the high Tatras: the towering mountain of Lomnický štít, and the beautiful lake of Štrbské Pleso. The chairlift up to the top of Lomnický štít goes in two legs, and the 2nd leg closed due to wind 15 minutes before our scheduled ride up to the top. At that point we took the 1st leg back to the base, and then that leg was shortly after closed due to wind as well. It was pretty scary to come so close to being stranded up there.

Tatralandia, where it's "summer in all time". It's pretty awesome that they spent enough money to put this billboard all over Slovakia, but didn't bother hiring someone who actually spoke English to proofread it. Needless to say the English literacy in Slovakia was quite poor.
