Birds About
July 2021 - Sioux Falls

We spent a few days checking out Sioux Falls and its surroundings. In town the highlight were the namesake falls, which were quite lovely. Outside of town, we really enjoyed visiting De Smet which had the annual Little House on the Prairie pageant that weekend. Everything was booked out so we stayed in a motel that had no internet presence and cost $48, and got our money's worth. And then we also went to the Corn Palace, which has really cool mosaics made out of different colored corns.

One of my favorites, having just been very impressed during my first visit to Mt. Rushmore
