December 2018 - Sanibel Island
Our two week tour of southern Florida began with a few days on Sanibel Island. We came to Sanibel for the shelling, which did not disappoint. We were also hoping to have some beach days, but the weather was quite poor most of the time we were there. In the breaks between the rain we were able to spend some time at the national wildlife refuge, which had some great birds. It also had the number 1 restroom in the country, which was very serendipitous for a restroom related filming project I'd already been planning to work on while in Florida. When we finished in Sanibel, the trip moved on to Fort Myers.
