Birds About
October 2018 - Rocky Mountain National Park

We spent 2.5 days in Rocky Mountain National Park, doing a lot of hiking and wildlife spotting. It couldn't have been a better time to go: October meant the mountains were snow-capped and magestic, but it was warm during the day and perfect hiking weather.

We saw beautiful alpine lakes, plenty of elk, plenty of birds, and had a great time exploring the Rocky mountains. When we were finished we wrapped the trip up in Boulder, which was a nice town.

A perfect lake for those alpine reflections
We were talking about chips, and this gray jay flew over to the tree right next to us. I think they know what that word means.
