May 2006 - New York City
A great day trip, I love NYC. A little bit of time in Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn. By the time I started looking for bus tickets all of the reasonable ones were gone and we ended up having to leave at 2:45 a.m. Yuck. Which got us to NYC tired and early. About 6 in the morning. Chinatown was empty. They happened to be practicing for the Macy's Day Parade the day we were up there. Apparently they've had accidents in the past, so they're practicing early this year. I can now half-truthfully say that I've had a front-row view of the Macy's Day Parade.
