. There was an absolutely mind blowing amount of snow that fell, pretty much all within a one month period. Not only was there tons of snow, but it also set records for how cold it was. The Boston harbor froze over, and, as shown below, there was even ice floating in the Atlantic ocean off of Nantasket beach.
There were some nice parts to the winter. We went snowshoeing after a big dump which was absolutely lovely. I also was able to see lots of
Holy winter!! Shoveling out the driveway was _not_ fun.

Jan 25, the first accumulation of the winter! With hindsight it looks pretty pathetic now.

Shoveling away! This was me pretty much the whole month of Feb.

This was an incredible dump, but was just the beginning.

Feb 9th, yet another big storm.

After shoveling out the Feb 9th storm
|
Feb 17th, after yet another large dump (albeit not the last snowfall of the winter).
|
All winter I had stacked snow only on one side of the walkway, so that the other side would remain an accurate measure of snowfall. This side was up to my chest. The side where I had shoveled snow was well over my head.

This wasn't even the last snow.

Holy ice dam!

On the other side of Hull, the Boston harbor was actually _entirely_ frozen over.
|
We spent about 10 minutes outside at Nantasket, and even just that was pretty biting on our faces. |
